She for S.H.E invites you to meet Sarah Rappolt, an inspiring woman who dedicates her time to help women in need
Sarah has spent over 15 years as an esteemed NYC stylist and educator as well as an avid social entrepreneur. Outside of being one of NYC’s best stylists, Sarah has taught in Africa, Cambodia and NYC as she offers vocational beauty opportunities to young women who do not have the financial means or access to a proper education.
Sarah has an amazing experience to share with us.
Before graduating from a cosmetology school in 2002, she worked at a women’s homeless shelter in Washington DC.
In 2008 she developed a community outreach program initiating partnerships with local not for-profit organizations to bring skills and services to those in need. She worked closely with the First Step Program, a subsidiary of the Coalition for the Homeless, providing makeovers for previously homeless women completing a job training program.
Besides that, Sarah also works with the Beauty + Network: she wrote and shared a beauty curriculum for young girls in Siem Reap (Cambodia) who had been victims to the sex trade industry as well as distressed situations of extreme poverty. Beauty + Network works to teach them a trade in hopes that they can become financially stable on their own accord.
